Abstract(s)
This article presents the theoretical and methodological foundations of a research project directed at the analysis of the components of pro-social and asocial behaviour and the relationship between pro-social behaviour, social intelligence, emotional intelligence and personality characteristics that are involved in the context of pro-social behaviour. The article also stresses the aspect of development. The research focuses on adolescents, adults and senior citizens serving terms of imprisonment. The control group is constituted by people from assisting professions with a high level of prosocial behaviour. -- The research is being carried out by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies in Brno and the Institute of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno. The main field of instruction at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies is social pedagogy.
