Abstract(s)
This essay reflects the epistemological issue concerning estimation of consonances "armonie dulces" in relation to musical proportionality "pulcre proportionati per numeros" on the background of Marchetto's of Padua treatise Lucidarium. Revaluating the role of aural sensation versus rational capacity, author points out some contexts between Lucidarium and Plato's concept of tripartite of a soul.
