Abstract(s)
The article discusses Martin Františák's way of directing, summarizing the characteristic principles of his directing methods and thus pointing to his specific handling of stage. Based on two productions – that of Maryša in the Municipal Theatre in Brno and Job in Petr Bezruč Theatre, both staged in a short period of time (the first was premiered on 26th April 2008, the latter on 10th October 2008 ) – the article brings about their detailed description and analysis. Furthermore, it not only stresses their mutual themes (the power of destiny, a pointless? revolt against it and, thus, its process and consequences) but also points out the conception of Františák's staging with regards to these topics (both their common features and uniqueness).
