Description
The author of the present contribution, continuing his own reflections from his special book on postmodernism (2010), analyzes the six hundred years' of the adoration of the literary subject and the literary practice of postmodernism which has tried to decontruct it. He demonstrates a series o postmodernist contradictions and paradoxes based on the criticism of this Renaissance model of literary reception attempting at presenting postmodernism as a heterogeneous plurality of phenomena leading to the freedom of senses and modes of receptions which might paradoxically create the expectation of new axiological hierarchie. This situation is being demonstrated on the representatives of the Slovak postmodernist prose, e. g. R. Sloboda, P. Jaroš, P. Vilikovský, D. Mitana, P. Hrúz, I. Kadlečík, P. Pišťanek, V. Balla, M. Hvorecký a P. Macsovszky.
