Neolitické rondely a hroby v trase obchvatu silnice I/38 mimo Kolín : předběžná informace o průběhu výzkumu v roce 2008

V roce 2008 proběhla první část záchranného archeologického výzkumu v předstihu před stavbou obchvatu silnice I/38 mimo Kolín. Kromě dalších lokalit využívaných opakovaně v průběhu pravěku a raného středověku byly odkryty části tří rondelů, z nichž jeden se řadí k největším v Evropě, v další výzkumné sezóně byl zachycen ještě čtvrtý rondel. Do částečně zanesených příkopů dvou rondelů byly uloženy i pozůstatky několika jedinců. Hroby z období neolitu byly zkoumány i mimo areály s rondely.

The first phase of rescue research before the construction of the I/38 Kolín bypass road was carried out in 2008. Apart from sites used repeatedly in prehistory and the Early Middle Ages, the foundations of three Neolithic rondels were excavated, one of which ranks among the largest in Europe. In the following year, a fourth circular ditch was identified. The partially filled ditches of two of these enclosures contained the remains of several people. Other Neolithic skeletal graves were excavated, which are situated outside the areas with rondels.
