Využití vybraných indikátorů Scimago Journal & Country Rank k vyhodnocení publikační aktivity České republiky v kontextu dalších zemí v databázi Scopus

Účel – Tento odborný článek si dal za cíl vyčíslit základní parametry publikační aktivity České republiky, srovnat ji s publikační aktivitou dalších zemí, vyčíslit podíl zemí s větším, popř. menším přírůstkem dokumentů do databáze Scopus a hledat souvislosti mezi ročním přírůstkem dokumentů a H-indexem zemí a dalšími parametry.
Design/metodologie/přístup – Data byla získána pomocí vybraných indikátorů na portálu SCImago Journal & Country Rank, a dále zpracována pomocí statistického nástroje Excel.
Výsledky – Na tvorbě databáze Scopus se podílejí zejména země s vysokým přírůstkem dokumentů. V roce 2020 se dostala na první místo v ročním přírůstku dokumentů Čína, a poprvé od roku 1996 tak překonala USA. Dokumenty autorů s afilací k ČR tvoří 2,54 % ve všech oborech a 4,29 % ve vědním oboru Agricultural and Biological Sciences v rámci zemí EU-28. Mezi zeměmi V4 vykazuje Česká republika nejvyšší nárůst počtu dokumentů za rok a také největší podíl na tvorbě dokumentů na jednoho obyvatele.
Originalita/hodnota – Předkládaný článek je originální ve způsobu zpracování dat získaných na portálu. Jeho přínosem je vyhodnocení vybraných parametrů publikační (vědecké) aktivity ČR a její srovnání s dalšími zeměmi.

Purpose – The aim of the paper was to quantify the basic parameters of the publication activity of the Czech Republic, to compare them with the publication activities of other countries, to quantify the share of countries with a larger or smaller annual increase in documents to the Scopus database and to look for connections between the annual increase in documents and the H-index of the countries and other parameters.
Design/Methodology/Approach – The data was obtained using selected indicators on the SCImago Journal & Country Rank portal, and further processed using the Excel statistical tool.
Results – The creation of the Scopus database is mainly carried out by countries with a high increase in documents. In 2020, China came first in the annual increase of documents, surpassing the US for the first time since 1996. Documents by authors with affiliation to the Czech Republic account for 2.54% in all fields and 4.29% in the field of Agricultural and Biological Sciences within the EU-28 countries. Among V4 countries, the Czech Republic has the highest annual accretion of documents per year and also the largest share of document creation per capita.
Originality/Value – The work is original in the way of processing the data obtained on the portal. The other benefit is the evaluation of the publication (scientific) activity of the Czech Republic and its comparison with other countries.
