Die Dämmerung des Olmützer deutschen Theaters

Majoritní německé obyvatelstvo v O lomouci si bylo po vzniku československého státu vědomo skutečnosti, že je jejich výlučné vlastnictví nejdůležitější kulturní instituce ve městě ohroženo. V závěru roku 1918 se však ještě nikdo nejen mezi Němci, ale i Čechy neodvažoval pomýšlet na to, že by divadlo existující od roku 1770 zaniklo. Proces převzetí německého divadla do české správy byl postupný. Studie se pokouší rekonstruovat tuto dosud detailně neznámou závěrečnou kapitolu německého divadla v Olomouci. Protože neexistuje divadelní archiv olomouckého divadla (byl zničen při povodních ve 30. letech 20. st.), autorka studie svá zjištění opírala především o zápisy z úředních jednání městské rady obce Olomouce a z denního tisku německého a českého.

The major German population in Olomouc realized after the formation of the Czechoslovakian state, that their exclusive ownership of the most important cultural institution in the city is threatened. At the end of 1918, no one among the German or the Czech believed that the theatre, functioning since 1770, would cease to exist. The process of undertaking the German theatre under Czech administration was gradual. The paper tries to map this not so well-known closing chapter of the German theatre in Olomouc. Because there is no archive of Olomouc theatre (it was damaged during the floods in the 30s of 20th century), the author of the paper supported her findings especially by notes from official conferences of the Council of Olomouc and by daily Czech and German press.
