Důležitým faktorem recepce díla zahraničního autora je existence překladu. Peripetie vydávání díla S. Máraiho v českém prostředí poukazují na rozdílné faktory působící na nakladatelskou politiku ve 20. století. Tyto faktory nezávisí na samotné kvalitě vydávaných textů.
An important factor in the reception of the work of foreign authors is the existence of translation. Publishing of S. Marai's works in the Czech points to different factors acting on the policy of publishing in the 20th century. These factors do not depend on the quality of published texts.
