Pražská Všeslovanská výstava v slovenskom "osvietenom" cestopise : (Terézia Vansová: Pani Georgiadesová na cestách)

Cestopis Terézie Vansovej Pani Georgiadesová na cestách (1896–1897) je originálnym záznamom návštevy slovenských vlastencov na Všeslovanskej výstave v Prahe, konanej v roku 1895. Praha bola v tej dobe miestom čerpania podnetov pre slovanskú spoluprácu. V období maďarizácie si autorka veľmi váži bratskú českú empatiu a kladie ťažisko rozprávania na výchovu k národnému cíteniu. Cestopis obsahuje aj podrobné opisovanie exponátov výstavy i atmosféry tohto veľkolepého podujatia. Výstava reprezentovala semiotizovaný svet, kde sa Slováci videli z odstupu na maketách, a tak bola táto cesta zároveň alegorickou cestou k ich sebapoznaniu.

The travelogue of Theresa Vansová – "Mrs Georgiades on the road" (1896–1897) is the original record of the Slovak patriots' visit to the panslavic Exhibition in Prague, held in 1895. During this period, Prague was seen as the centre of impetus of a thriving Slavic cooperation. The author appreciates the Czechs' fraternal empathy of Slovakia during Slovakia's period of Hungarianisation and puts the focus of the story on the education of national aspirations. The Travelogue also contains a detailed description of the exhibits and of the atmosphere of this spectacular event. The exhibition represented a symbolic world, where the Slovaks could see themselves from a distance on maquettes, and so this trip was also an allegorical path to their self-recognition.
