Abstract(s)
The Byzantine poem of sixteen dodecasyllables dedicated to Charikleia, the heroine of Heliodorus' Aethiopica, is generally ascribed to Theodore Prodromos since Colonna's critical edition (1938, test. XVIII). However, a new analysis of this poem (lexical, stylistic and metrical features) shows that it can be more convincingly ascribed to Nicetas Eugenianos.
