Abstrakt(y)
This contribution provides basic information about seminar papers and diploma theses written in the seminar in Renaissance and early Baroque music at the Charles University Faculty of Arts in Prague. All the papers and theses are discussed separately, in chronological order according to when they were written. The heading for each item gives the name of the author, the full title, a brief outward description (number of pages, etc.), and the catalogue number under which a copy is deposited in the library of the Institute of Musicology at the Charles University Faculty of Arts. Then follows a brief summary of the content. It is clear from this overview that certain topics have received priority attention. With a few exceptions the papers and theses are focused on Bohemian studies. In first place stands music of Rudolfinian Prague, in studies focused on individual figures and collections of compositions; also prevalent are studies of the musical activities of burghers in Bohemia during the period before the Battle on White Mountain, and of important musical sources for the history of musical culture in the High Renaissance.
