Popis
The contribution deals with the relationship between Antonín Václavík and Leoš Janáček. The two great personalities of the Moravian ethnography were in contact during Janáček's stay in Luhačovice; their common denominator being their interest in the study of speech and sounds of nature. The closest collaboration took place probably in 1916, on numerous occasions Václavík sent Janáček his discoveries from this area and he even asked him to review the draft version of his paper on this topic. At the end of the year 1927, while preparing his monography on Luhačovické Zálesí, he prompted Janáček that the two of them publish a compendium of speech melodies from the region; however this interesting idea did not come to fruition as the artist passed away in summer of the next year.
