Section New subjects on TIM is focused on introducing two new subjects established in the academic year 2013/2014 on the Theory of interactive media: Artgorithms: algorithmic art, theory and practice (lecturer: Tomáš Staudek) and TIM_LAB: Local Media Heroes (lecturer: Barbora Šedivá). For both subjects we focuse on describtion of their objectives, curriculum, assumptions and used methods. Analysis of the approaches in work with the students and materials will be also mentioned. Main information sources of the article are interviews with Barbora Šedivá and Tomáš Staudek. This information will not only serve the students to become more familiar with the professional focus of both lecturers, but also to describe place of the subjects in the structure of the study program. We asked why the subjects were created and what are they trying to develop on TIM through them. The main objective of the article is to create reviews of these subjects that could serve as a model for processing similar themes in the next issues of Ezin TIM.
