The paper deals to the contribution of Jan Vilikovský (1904–1946) to the Middle Age literary research. The author puts his works on the St. Adalbert legends, St'Catherine legend and the Middle age satire into a new research context. This way it is shown the importance of Jan Vilikovský as a literary scholar, translator and editor.
