Kostel sv. Mikuláše ve Sloupnici představuje ve své dochované podobě pozdně renesanční stavbu s mladšími přístavbami. Gotickou fázi, doloženou písemnými prameny, zatím stavebně historický průzkum neprokázal. Při záchranném archeologickém výzkumu vyvolaném statickými poruchami zdí byly prozkoumány pohřby, z nichž mnohé měly v oblasti rukou minci. Zvyk vkládání mincí do hrobů zde máme prokázán od 14. do 18. století.
The Church of St. Nicholas in Sloupnice is a late renaissance building with younger additions. The Gothic phase documented by written sources has not yet been confirmed by building history research. During the rescue research triggered by the structural defects of the walls, burials were investigated, many of which included a coin placed near the hands. The custom of putting coins in graves is documented in this country from the 14th to the 18th century.
