Inner conflicts in Shukshin's pieces are connected with looking for answers to so called "cursed" questions, which concern the meaning of life and thoughts of death. In relation with classic traditions, author of article accompanies the existential torture of Shukshin's characters, their moral falls and illuminations. In final phase of writer's creational journey, the tragic intonations are getting thicker, and lead the heroes into exoneration through the torture.
