Anotace
  • The strong sense of community that has marked Canadian society over the centuries laid the foundations for its current (relative) success in managing and accommodating ethnic, political, linguistic and religious diversity. This volume offers a selection of thirty-six essays exploring how the “Canadian space” can be a source of inspiration as well as an object of comparison and critique. The broad scope of the publication can be seen in the diversity of disciplines covered, among them literature, linguistics, lexicology, cultural studies, sport, art, architecture, film, history, political science, sociology, social policy, immigration, multiculturalism and economics. The essays are in both English and French.
